Labquality acquires ARTIMED Medical Consulting GmbH (Germany) to strengthen its clinical research services in Europe

Labquality corporation acquires ARTIMED Medical Consulting GmbH corporation’s shares. ARTIMED is a German company which specializes in clinical research services for medical devices and pharmaceuticals. ARTIMED and its experienced professionals strengthen Labquality’s clinical research offering in the medical device market. Moreover, the acquisition of ARTIMED is the first step in Labquality’s internationalization process, and it enables the company access to the Central European medical device market.

The acquisition of ARTIMED enables Labquality to grow its clinical research business in the medical device market. “ARTIMED fits perfectly to the Labquality family. ARTIMED brings strong clinical research competence and experience to Labquality. This enables Labquality to offer broader and more versatile clinical research services to new and existing medical device customers,” says CEO Juha-Pekka Nuutinen from Labquality.

“Our intention is to grow our team in Kassel, Germany, and to expand our offering to consulting services on top of the clinical research. Thus, we can serve our German customers even better in the future,” concludes CEO Markus Hahn from ARTIMED.

Clinical investigations are increasingly required for the CE marking of medical devices, and the new EU MDR sets more requirements to clinical investigations and research on medical devices. The acquisition strengthens Labquality’s position as the leading quality consultancy and regulatory service provider in the healthcare and health technology industries.

The acquisition does not have any impact on the current customer relationships, partnerships, or personnel of ARTIMED.
